This is only the beginning of  a series of events  for the wedding of Jigger and May.  As soon as we arrived, there was already an arrival dinner and also to celebrate the birthdays of May and Jigger which was on November 6.  It felt like the wedding already.   Happy Birthday Jigger and May!  We love you!

It was so nice of Tita Hilda, the mother of the groom, to say something that evening.  All her boys love her and that evening as she spoke, it reinforced the closeness of their family and how much the boys love their mom and always praise her.  It was Tita Hilda who encouraged all her sons to strive for the best education and according to Tito Joey, she drove her boys to school everyday! 

Tita Hilda acknowledged the presence of Fr. Suarez who was the celebrant for the church wedding.  Fr. Suarez is a very busy priest as everyone knows.   He has done only two weddings, one other and Jigger and May’s

Included in the wedding invitation of Jigger and May were a list of recommended restaurants…How I wish we could have tried all…

As soon as we arrived and settled down in the hotel which was around 1:00 pm, we wanted to have a light meal as we were expecting much for dinner. We ended up going to number one on the list and a familiar and popular place,  ARIA

 Jigger and May spoiled us!  Now we always want to stay in Discovery Shores when in Boracay!  What a beautiful place… The staff in the hotel are all very cheerful and friendly and every single one of them never fails to greet you good morning, good afternoon or good evening when they pass you.  And I like their pins which say ” Service that’s ALL HEART.”

There is even a shuttle to take you wherever you want to go.

Heart2Heart is so proud to mention that it was designed by only the best, Architect Willie Coscolluela together with his son who is our good friend, Gary Coscolluela.  We are looking forward already to our next stay in February…..

As soon as we arrive in the airport, the spoiling starts already!  We have the best boat in the island - it is airconditioned and they serve you bottled water… going back to the airport on the way home- they serve sandwiches and juice 

When we arrive in the hotel, they give you cold towel and a welcome drink….then we are greeted by JR who escorts us to our room

Our room was a Junior Suite , this is the lowest category among the rooms and we were so happy.  But imagine how the other rooms look like. They have one bedroom, two bedroom, with jacuzzi etc etc

I took Javier with his cousin, Lucas, today at LazerXtreme.  Javs had a party here and he enjoyed it so much.  The next day, his older brother also went here with his teenage friends.   It seems to be very popular among the kids.  One game lasts for around 20 minutes.  I went inside with them and it does look like fun, even adults will enjoy playing with each other.  Looks like this will be the latest hang out of the kids

Whenever my cook, Edna,  prepares this, it seems to always be a “hit” so I thought of sharing it here at Heart2Heart.  Edna’s version looks even more yummy than the photo

 My friend, Melissa, asked me for the Top 5 restaurants in Baguio…. That is a tough one to answer!  Only because when we are in Baguio, we always eat at home.  Mom prepares the best meals at home and we do not have to go anywhere else.  We eat outdoors all the time to take advantage of the cool weather which we cannot do in Manila.  We have Misono/Teppanyaki, Fondue, Barbeque, and Mongolian Barbeque. Mom brings up all her equipments and ingredients together with her whole household to make sure we are fully equipped.  WHAT A MOM!  We are so lucky we have her to feed us!  

Last month we went to Baguio for three days and so we were able to have fondue and misono/teppanyaki

Watercress salad with truffle oil - Mom always makes sure she has watercress in Baguio which you can get in abundance at the market

FONDUE

Appetizer:  Cheese fondue 

We all like to eat the crunchy part after - “tutong”  YUMMY! 

Mom has her own fondue sauces which are different from mine and she claims hers is better :-) 

For fondue, we have broth and oil - for the health conscious ones, they use broth.  For the oil, Mom uses olive oil 

Dessert:  Chocolate fondue
