My friend, Barbee, sent her son, Enrique to join the CISV camp last year!  Looks like the kids enjoy at CISV, aside from representing our country, they get to meet different people from all over the world, they experience traveling and being with other children their age and a sense of independence living away from home.  They are so lucky to have this opportunity to experience this kind of camp.

Some info about Enrique’s camp and delegation:

• Children’s International Summer Village, QC Chapter

• July 1 to 28, 2011 in Fredericksburg, Denmark (30 minutes from Copenhagen)

• His village was called “Our World Village”

• Philippine Delegation:  Enrique Chuidian, Luis Trota (son of Rica Tamesis & Robert Trota), Isabel Puno (daughter of Bea Lopez & Eric Puno), Katrina Villonco  (daughter of Hazel Perez & Martoni Villonco)

• with Adult Leader:  Anielle Banson

• CISV summer camps are called “Villages” and each village consists of child delegates (all 11-year olds); Junior Counselors (JCs); Adult Leaders and the Camp Director

• In Enrique’s Village, there were child delegates from 12 countries (each country sends 2 boys and 2 girls, plus one adult leader)

• Delegations from the following countries participated in his Village:

o Jordan, Belgium, USA, Costa Rica, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Poland, and Philippines

o Junior Counselors and Camp Staff were also from all over the world

The next round of CISV camps will be in July/ August 2012.  But, in early 2013, the delegates will start getting together for the Saturday playdays where they will all get to learn about CISV and its traditions; learn Filipino songs, games and dances to share when they go away to camp; make some great friendships and in early March, a lottery will take place to determine where these 11-year olds will go to attend camp.  Next summer,  I think the CISV QC chapter will be sending at least 5 delegations (20 kids) to Denmark, Sweden, Mexico, USA, Portugal.

One of the benefits of staying in Lotte Hotel is they have a shuttle which brings you to Lotte World  It takes around 30 minutes to get to Lotte World from Lotte Hotel ( Lotte Hotel, Seoul Jan 10, 2010 ) 

Good thing it was indoor!!! 

It’s a mini Disneyland :-) 

Since it was Christmas and everyone as on holiday, not a good time to go to Lotte world! oh my gosh, the place was jam packed and the wait for the rides were too long!

I got to ride one ride! the others maybe two.  6 of us in one cart.  We just went around, had lunch and then left.  We warned the rest of the family not to enter anymore to avoid paying the entrance fee. 

and there is an outdoor park as well with rides for the more daring ones!

I don’t have many photos of my brother in law, Mike, but I have many of him with my kids.  Through the years, I have been able to collect photos of him with my kids.  And Uncle Mike is like their Dad or big brother who takes care of them and watches over them.  If it is one thing we will miss now that we have moved houses, it is Uncle Mike whom we have lived with for sixteen years.

 And until this day, even at 11 years old, Javier still sits on his lap and hugs and kiss him no matter how heavy he is!

for building the Caring Jesus Elementary School for the Gawad Kalinga children in Pandi, Bulacan.  The school now has 56 students from grades 1 to 4.

Ron was so proud to show his new toy store to me which carries all educational toys!  It had just opened two weeks ago!  He told me that he put up this toy store for his kids.  Playing and learning go hand in hand.  It’s a FUN way to learn.  Every afternoon, after office, Ron picks up Rianna to go to the store to play and spend time with her.  Congrats Ron!! MORE POWER on your new business venture!!

Javier didn’t think twice when I asked him to come along with me.  I got excited too because I loved the Willy Wonka Movie and watched it several times when I was a kid!  Do stop by the Shangri-la Mall Atrium by the fountain in front of Rustan’s.  This is only til Sunday!

 We are Philippine Wake School, a private sector that aims to produce top athletes in the growing sports wakeboard and wakeskate in the Philippines. Our first goal is to introduce the sports to everyone by holding fun camps and clinics in different spots. Our second goal is to unite the local wake community and help the sports to grow by holding events and friendly competitions. Our third goal is to support our local talented athletes by eventually providing them with sport equipments for their training and sponsorships for competitions to represent our country. One of our goals is to promote our country. Operation Wake Camp - The Ultimate Wake Camp Experience for Everyone!

Operation Wake Camp is a wakeboard and wakeskate camp for all ages, from beginners to intermediate level. It’s not just an all wakeboard and wakeskate experience, but the camp also offers other fun off-wake activities! We believe that it’s more fun to ride and to progress if you ride with your friends that’s why at Operation Wake Camp, we make sure that we’ll give you the best wakeboard experience ever! This is the first ever camp in the country. The first one was held in CWC, Camarines Sur and was called Ladies’ First, an all girls wakeboarding camp. Now Philippine Wake School focuses on holding cable wakeboarding camps and boat clinics in areas such as Davao, Pampanga, Cebu, Laguna and Ilocos.

Steezy Sesh

If we have Operation Wake Camp for people who have never tried wakeboarding before and want to give it a shot, we also have Steezy Sesh for aspiring wakeboarders and wakeskaters to progress and learn new signature tricks from professional athletes. The coaches are professional wakeboarders and wakeskaters who are invited to teach and share their signature tricks. This is a good opportunity for the growing community of wakeboarders and wakeskaters in the country to progress in the sport by learning straight from their favorite athletes.

Roxy Skirt Day Sunday

Skirt Day Sunday is a barbeque party and riding session for girls. We have this event just for the girls because we want to give special attention to local girl wakeboarders and wakeskaters to encourage them to try the sport. This is a fun event for the girls to bond and to have something to look forward to every Sunday!

We would like to tie-up with your campus and explore the possibility of adding wakeboarding to the students’ extra sport activities. Jobim is so lucky to have persevering and supportive parents like Ricky and Wendy.  I don’t watch the show but my friend, Wendy, continously updates the family by text and through facebook the status of Jobim and they have really gone a long way.  I say they because I feel that Wendy has been just as involved as Jobim as she continous to accompany him and support him in this challenge 

Jobim now has a fan page in facebook and his fans make beautiful pages of him :-) 

and he answers back with fan signs!  :-)
