Chef Javs was so happy when Lola Lita ordered from him! Javs asked me to help him because he was a bit nervous
I took the opportunity to teach him how to cost his product so that he will make sure he gets his money back on the ingredients he used. So we listed down all the ingredients and the prices.
It was so nice to visit Lola Lita last Sunday. Aside from dropping off the food, she toured us around her house and showed us around. It was so much fun! Lola made sure we took a photo beside her valuable Sacred Heart statue
Javs made his alfredo sauce which he always makes because he likes to eat it too. Lola Lita asked him to just make the sauce and she will just add on the noodles fresh when it is time to serve

Lola Lita was very generous to Chef Javs!
Thank you Lola Lita! Javs didn’t want to pay back Mama for the ingredients Mama paid for. But he said next time he will. Afterall he has to learn the value of hard work and being able to earn his own money
The grandkids have been getting together every weekend to practice for a special surprise for Lola Charing’s birthday! Thanks to Mommy Angela and Mommy Maricar for organizing the rehearsals.

Heart2Heart loves documenting these events, afterall it’s behind the scenes where all the bonding and fun happen!!
Thank you also to Piano teacher, Teacher Jessie, for helping guide the kids all throughout

This is the program! Wow, we realized how talented the kids are….they now all want to present for Lola!!
And here are the performers!!
Partial because not everyone could make it that day
And of course there are spectators - uncles and lolos also watching……
and cheering for the kids :-)
During rehearsals, it is nice because the cousins get together and play with each other. It’s very rare that we have them all together
And of course, nothing is complete without the eating bonding!!
Lola Menchu prepared the food for the kids with the terracota soliders in the background
and then there is swimming after!!
with Tito Gogs who all the kids love and play with!
Today was the last day of practice for tomorrow’s birthday celebration
All the parents watching and supervising!
Thanks to Mommy Angela for directing the kids and the whole program
Looks like we can be the Von Trapp family with all the musicians in the family :-)
This time, each one brought food, potluck
Watch out for Lola’s special birthday celebration :-)
My friend, Pinky Marquez-Cancio, is producing one night of Peter Pan. Hurry and buy your tickets!! :-)
Our batch has formed a committee called ” FOR THE BENEFIT OF ” and this is headed by Lala and Eds. Aside from the funds that we will be donating to the Assumption Mission Schools, we have a few outreach programs we would like to do now and in the coming years. And we are all excited!
In a few months, With the help of Tito Frank Drilon, Our Assumption batch will help build a classroom in Porac, Pampanga! Thank you Tito Frank! What a great advocacy!!
Our roadtrip led us to Katutubo Elementary School where Assumption sometimes holds their immersions. We were also happy to find out that Xavier School is the main donor for this school through the Mena Foundation of Fr. Mena
They also have feeding programs here
The school caters to the Ayta tribe in the area, they have a very cute village around the school
They remove their slippers before going inside the classroom

Here we are with Sister Lilia Malimit and two of the teachers from the Department of Education
The fence will be removed to make way for the classroom which will be built beside this existing one. We are targetting December just in time for Christmas
We hope you can help us raise funds and it can be in many forms:
1.) Cash Sponsorship - please contact Aileen Tupaz- Lota at at_lota@yahoo.com or cell #: 0917-828-6671
2.) Donate items for the ONLINE AUCTION - to be launched in September - WATCH OUT FOR THIS! SO many exciting items up for bid!!

Chef Javs has been baking and cooking continously til now. I wonder how long this will last and if he will really pursue his culinary interest! One saturday, Chef Javs baked something for Lola and brought it to our regular Saturday lunch with Lola. Ever since then, he has been using his saturday mornings to bake and cook for Lola.
This is Creme brulee - for some reason whenever he brings it, there is already a missing part and guess who ate that missing part!
Filo pastry with fruit fillings :-)
Tarte Tatin
This was his first try and he brought it to Lola
and then he improved it on another Saturday
And today, as requested by the Lolas, he made peanut butter cups! :-)
Lola Nena and the other Lolas, Titos and Titas all try a bit from Javs goodies so maybe that’s why he is always happy to serve them every Saturday
And after his hard work, Lola gives him P 500.00. Javier at first did not accept ( which I was happy he reacted that way ) but Lola insisted
So that is what Javs uses to buy his ingredients and his baon in school
